Just under 600 Lions supporters were at Gresty Road to watch their side win 3-1 last Saturday, with over 200 also in attendance for the re-arranged game against Port Vale on Tuesday night, which Millwall won 2-0 thanks to goals from Mark Beevers and Lee Gregory.

And Harris, whose side now face back-to-back home games against Southend United and Rochdale, has praised the club’s travelling supporters for their efforts over the past four days.

“You can’t ask for anymore,” he said.

“It is phenomenal support.

“I talked last year a lot about the link between the players and the fans. It’s hard because the fans are desperate to support us and we’ve not been winning home games. They are trying to stick with us and on the road they come because they know what they are going to get.

“Well they are going to get that from the home games. We got the win we wanted against Peterborough and we have got the build on that on Saturday.

“I’m under no illusions. Eight or nine thousand are going to turn up on Saturday now expecting a Millwall performance and I put the pressure on my players to say they have got to perform.”
