Millwall have denied that Mark Beevers will be leaving to join Bradford City.
Reports from the press in Bradford have been saying that the Bantams have had a £200K bid for the twenty-five-year-old defender accepted. And while manager Phil Parkinson has not confirmed that those reports are true, he has said there has been contact with both the club and manager.
This isn’t the first time that Beevers has been the subject of speculation. Last summer Rotherham United made a £250K bid for the former Sheffield Wednesday player which then manager Ian Holloway dismissed out of hand.
If Beevers isn’t pulled out of Saturday’s squad against Coventry City, he could show his commitment to the Lions by making his 100th appearance the club. So far this season he has started in the left-back position because of an injury to Joe Martin.
And Millwall believe he will stay committed to the club as a club insider told the South London Press: “Mark is as committed to Millwall as ever. Everyone knows he is under contract and he has shown how much he loves this club with his performances last year and this season.”
