After stepping in to the manager role during the 2014 season, manager Dan Mlinar has decided to step down as manager to pursue another opportunity within the club.

Telling us in his own words, Mlinar expresses his disappointment at no longer being the Lionesses manager but hopes to continue advising the Lionesses in the future.

‘Unfortunately I wont be carrying on my role next season as Millwall Lionesses Manager, due to taking up a full time role within they Millwall Boys Academy. I have loved my season with the first team and having been here at the club for 8 years, its sad for me that I wont be running the Centre of Excellence or the Lionesses WSL side.

I will still be around to support and hopefully remaining a part of the coaching set up to help build upon the foundations that we laid last season. It was a tough end after a real positive start but we have really started to implement the philosophy of Millwall Football Club and I am hoping the ladies and the new manager will continue with that in the future.’

We wish to thank Dan for all his hard work, inspiration and leadership over the years and wish him every success in the next stage of his career.”

The club will begin searching for a new manager in due course.
